Platform Resourcing are currently working in partnership with a multiple award-winning company that rents a variety of construction equipment throughout England and Wales. It has strategically located depots that support a variety of industry customers with ride-on construction equipment. This business have established themselves within the marketplace as providing a first-class service with an established customer network.
At present they are going through a period of growth and require several key hires to promote and help during this busy period. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Engineer to join their team based in Bristol.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry repairs to Plant Equipment Carry servicing of Plant Equipment
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections for Plant Equipment
- Operate and carry out duties in a safe manner paying attention to current health and safety procedures
- Machines worked on include dumpers, excavators, rollers, breakers and telehandlers
Candidates skill-set/Required Experience
- Have good understanding of the hire industry
- Be friendly and professional when dealing with colleagues
- Be flexible and adaptable in a constantly evolving and changing environment
- Preferably hold a qualification in Plant Mechanics or similar Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Have the ability to distinguish between damage to a machine and wear and tear
- The role will involve the service and maintenance on a variety of plant machinery at the depot
- Engineers from the armed forces are actively encouraged to apply
- Engineers with any form of mechanical experience are actively encouraged to apply
- Highly motivated to further their career at an ever-developing company
- Have experience working with plant and machinery
- Hold a relevant qualification (NVQ Level 2/3) with relevant knowledge of health and safety legislation
Benefits and Salary
- Salary £26,000 - £28,000 p/a
- 7.30am - 5.00pm
