Platform Resourcing are currently working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business based in the Cwmbran area.

This business is thriving and have seen a bounce back since the end of lock down so are now looking to recruit a Production/Manufacturing Operatives on a contract basis with hand and machine assembly experience to join their team. Previous experience within an Engineering/Manufacturing business is essential.


Salary and Benefits

  • Salary £14.30 p/h Mornings & £15.33 p/h Afternoons (Rota Week by week)
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Shifts are 6am - 2pm and 2pm – 10.00pm Monday to Friday
  • Christmas Shutdown period
  • Excellent modern engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Full support team
  • Full time permanent role for suitable candidates

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working on a continuous high speed technical production line
  • Work to technical drawings with the minimal supervision
  • Produce parts to the highest standards - output and quality
  • Working to time frames in regard to manufacturing output
  • Understanding of Lean, Kanban and 5’s would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Visual inspection and quality checks
  • Compliance with all EH&S and company procedures
  • Manual handing of large components

Essential Experience:

  • Experience with Production Operative/Manufacturing Operative position within engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Must have proven track record working within a engineering or manufacturing environment
  • The ability to carrying out complex and technical manufacturing operations
  • Will have previously working within assembly ideally with manual and hand held power and gas/air power tools
  • Understanding of materials and safety standards
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Excellent manual dexterity
  • Able to work using safe manual handling techniques
  • Reporting any quality defects to appropriate person(s)
  • Able to communicate at all levels and work effectively as part of a team
  • To work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to achieve production and quality targets
  • Positive and flexible can-do attitude
