Platform Resourcing are currently working alongside a Global Tech Support company based in Swansea. They are looking to employ an Internal Sales Engineer who will be responsible for taking warm enquiries from customers, establish customer needs to be able to offer a product solution and finally produce a quotation that will lead to securing their business.

The Successful Internal Sales Engineer will have experience in answering warm enquiries, putting together quotations that meet customer needs after building rapport and establishing the right solution for them. You will need a background in a similar role, preferably either holding a qualification in and I.T, Computing or Business related subject or having a passion for that industry. You will have experience of producing quotations in order to secure new business from both existing and new business customers.

Internal Sales Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To build and maintain the company brand and mission.
  • Once fully trained in the company products, keeping up to date with product knowledge and follow the latest trends and developments in the industry.
  • Taking warm enquiries mostly via email but sometimes by telephone.
  • After establishing the product that would be most suited to the customer’s needs, you will need to translate product knowledge and packages to customers that will have less of an understanding of the I.T. industry and Technical products so they are clear about what they are receiving and why.
  • Keeping customers informed throughout the whole process from concept to delivery.
  • Provide customer driven solutions and provide quotations, negotiate when needed on cost and delivery of products to secure the business.
  • Responsible for developing existing client relationships to maximise business potential.
  • Update and maintain Salesforce/CRM.
  • Attend meetings with internal development groups as and when required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Quotations, Costing or Internal Sales experience in a relevant sector (I.T products or services/ Tech solutions/ Business Training).
  • Proven ability of learning company products being able to relay technical information in an informative and confident way to customers.
  • Keeping customers informed throughout the whole process from concept to delivery.
  • Experience of building relationships with customers quickly.
  • Experience of negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Organised, disciplined and takes pride in their work.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Competent in using all Microsoft Packages and adept at using social media platforms.

Preferable:

  • Internal Sales experience within I.T. Services/ Products/ Tech solutions
  • Qualification/ degree within an I.T. or computer related subject.
